Curved Piecing
This was a pattern by Debbie Bowles. The curves are cut with a rotary cutter freehand. I was able to make the top in a day and is great fun to do. I wish I had a better picture of it but I donated it as raffle quilt

Crazy Quilting
Crazy quilting is another fun project with out any precise cutting or exact seam allowances. I played with a little machine silk ribbon embroidery.
I like to make Christmas stockings with crazy quilting. |

Beyond Boundaries
My good friend Kari Huber, taught this class. You take fat quarters, free hand cut them with a rotary cutter and then piece. Then add couching and other fun techniques.
I used this as my quilting sampler and did McTavishing, free form feathers, bobbin drawing and drawing with thread for my quilting |
